Deciduous slow-growing trees that require a sheltered sunny site with a soil pH of around 6 - 7. They do not tolerate high groundwater levels or acidic soil. They grow to a width of 10 m and a height of 10 m, grafted about 6 meters. Mature trees are relatively drought tolerant. The fruits are harvested only after full ripening. Cut off (do not tear!), leave the calyx with a short stem, wrap in plastic bags. Store at 0 °C, it will last in good condition for up to 2 months.
