Kudrania is a fruit tree, originating from East Asia. In its homeland, it grows to a height of around 6 m. Here, it can also be grown outdoors in warm areas. When growing in our conditions, expect a height of around 3 m.
The plant produces aromatic fruit that looks like raspberries. It has a red color and an excellent taste.
The fruits contain a large amount of antioxidants and are used in traditional medicine.
The plant is frost-resistant up to -24 °C.
Kudrania will suit a sunny and protected habitat.
The soil should be light, sandy, with a pH of around 7.
The plants require little care and are tolerant of drought and low nutrient levels.
In the first two years, it is advisable to protect the plant for the winter with e.g. non-woven fabric.
