- The fruits can be eaten directly, or after halving they can be dried or candied.
- It was previously referred to as a subspecies of eastern hawthorn.
- Shrubs or trees of this species are undemanding and suitable as an ornamental element of the garden.
- The tree grows up to 3-5 m.
- This subspecies comes from the Crimea, from the Karadag mountains. The species is fully frost-resistant in our country.
