The long-fruited variety 'Karpatia' was included in the assortment in 1973, today it is the most widespread and available for planting. Due to its interesting height, decorative leaves and large colorful flowers, it is used in park gardens. It can be used as a solitaire and on untrimmed hedges. In addition, its large rosehips are just as healthy as wild rose fruits. The bushes grow luxuriantly, upright, slightly decaying during the fertile period. The shoots are strong, long, burgundy red, sparsely spiny. The flowers are large, 50 mm in diameter, single, pink. At the time of flowering, the plant is resistant to late spring frosts, it blooms at the end of May, it is self-pollinating. The fruit consists of a brood of achenes (arrows). It is large, round-cylindrical to slightly pear-shaped, bright red, sparsely covered with hairs. The fruits are in clusters of two to three, with a short stalk and few seeds. Fertility is very good.
