- A columnar apple tree 'Rumba' - a new hybrid of Red Topaz and Rondo varieties. Its fruits are medium-sized, spherical in surface. The skin is smooth, green-yellow at the base, but almost the entire surface is then covered with a bright red cheek. The flesh is medium firm to firm, tender, soft, juicy, pleasantly aromatic, harmonious in taste. We collect apples from mid-October. Stored will last until March. A variety resistant to scab.
- Cultivation: We choose sunny and warm locations, preferably facing south, with soil rich enough in nutrients, light, well-permeable, moist but not waterlogged. Apple trees prefer soil with a neutral to slightly acidic reaction. It is important to prepare the planting site in advance. We dig a hole approx. 1x60cm, in the case of heavy clay soils 80x80x100. Adjust the selected soil as needed - add sand to the heavier soil, clay soil to the too light soil. We also add aged manure or garden substrate, which already contains appropriate fertilizers.
