  • Eucalyptus pauciflora ssp. Debeuzevillei is the hardiest eucalyptus in the world.
Its native range is the Australian Alps, where it grows on hilltops up to 1800 metres above sea level.
Here, the plants are exposed to cold, windy winter conditions with lots of snow each year.
  • The trunk of this species is smooth, light grey with sparse greenish or brownish patches.
The leaves are up to 10 cm long, leathery with a silvery-greenish tinge.
It is happy to grow in well-drained, slightly acidic soil.
  • Like other species of smaller eucalyptus, it is easy to shape and prune to maintain a smaller stature.
When pruned, it then flowers more easily.
    Plant 40cm+ tall
