- Prok is a large-fruited persimmon cultivar whose mother plant originated in the central and eastern United States and was adaptable to urban environments. This cultivar is recommended for the northern edge of the persimmon growing area because it is hardy and early maturing.
- It is self-pollinating and female trees will produce seedless fruit without a male pollinator. 'Prok' is rated as one of the best tasting American persimmons.
- This tree has a nice shape and is landscape friendly, has nice fall color and is a wildlife attractant.
