- The American persimmon comes from the USA. It grows to a height of 6-8m with an oval semi-open crown. It blooms in May with yellow-pink flowers that are sought after by bees and butterflies. The color of the fruits can be yellow, orange-colored. The American persimmon is more resistant than the Asian persimmon.
- An adaptable plant that thrives without reservations in all types of soil in a sunny, semi-shady location
- NC 10 is a partially self-pollinating smaller tree between 2-4 m that produces both male and female flowers.
- The orange-red fruit is considered the tastiest of all American persimmon varieties.
- The delicious oval fruit is medium in size and is seedless unless you have a male plant.
- With more plants, they bear better.
- NC 10s tend to have alternating fertility, meaning that a large harvest is followed by a weaker year.
- rootstock: Diospyros lotus - common persimmon
