- Persimmons are known as Kaki, Diospyros or Churma.
- The ROJO BRILLANTE persimmon is a late variety with a high and reliable yield, which is most grown in Valencia.
- It is a deciduous tree. It is a parthenocarpic variety that bears fruit even without pollination. Even one plant is enough for you.
- The fruits of the Rojo Brillante variety grow larger and are harvested in November.
- After harvesting, it is a good idea to let the fruits ripen for 2 weeks to achieve a sweet and delicious taste.
- GROWING INSTRUCTIONS: In our conditions, persimmons are grown only in the warmest areas, where we plant them in a sunny and protected place.
- Withstands frost up to -18°C.
- In other positions, they can be grown in a container as portable plants.
- Container plants winter ideally at temperatures around 0°C.
- They can also be placed in a darker room such as a basement.
- They bloom from mid-May and the flowers are sensitive to frost damage.
- Fruits are best harvested when they are fully ripe, when they are nicely colored and soft.
- Persimmons are not susceptible to any diseases, so you harvest fruit without pesticides.
