  • Large-fruited variety of American origin. It ripens in October, although some sellers mistakenly claim that already in summer. It is partially or completely parthenocarpic, but with a male, the fruits are of better quality and larger and, above all, they ripen earlier..

  • Kudránia is a rare tree in our country, related to mulberries and figs. It is closely related to the better-known orange tree (Maclura pomifera), with which, according to some botanists, it shares the same genus (syn. =Maclura tricuspidata).
  • It is a rare fruit tree from East Asia. It is mainly grown in South Korea and China. Its fruits look a bit like raspberries, are 3-5 cm in size and have an orange to red or pinkish color. Fully ripe and soft fruits have an excellent taste and resemble a watermelon, or a combination of watermelon and mulberry. However, for some they lack acids and some say they are bland.
  •  The plant is usually fully frost-resistant here (approx. -24°C). It is a crop suitable for the warmest and hottest areas of the republic, with a vegetation sum of heat above 2600°C (the lowlands of Polabí and South Moravia have up to over 3000°C). Where crops such as Ziziphus jujuba, Actinidia deliciosa or the later varieties of Asimina triloba grow and mature, there should be kudrania. Female varieties that require pollination are earlier than parthenocarpic varieties (they usually do not ripen here, or only in the warmest years).
  • The plants are dioecious, so you need to get a male and a female plant.
