- The Titus cornelian cherry is our native, very hardy fruit variety that does not require any chemical protection.
- We can also use it for planting in ornamental beds and hedges, the added value of which will be healthy fruit with a high content of vitamins obtained without chemicals.
- The vitamin C content in its fruits reaches up to 200 mg per 100 grams of fruit and the sugar content is up to around 20%.
The fruits are suitable for direct consumption and for processing.
The Titus variety ripens in late August. - It forms dark red fruits, slightly pear-shaped, which are almost black when ripe for consumption.
They have a high proportion of pulp. - Shrubs or small trees (depending on their type of shaping) are characterized by regular and abundant fertility.
- Adult bushes produce an average of up to 30 kilograms of fruit.
- They are very resistant to winter frosts and frosts do not damage their flowers either.
They are therefore also suitable for marginal and foothill areas. - They live to a great age.
- They bloom early in the spring, already in the first half of March, which is why they are very valuable for beekeepers.
- Titus is partially cross-pollinated, so it is advisable to grow at least one other variety at the same time.

- As an unshaped shrub, it grows to a height of 3.5 meters, with hanging fertile foliage.
