- The variety Obelisk is a garden variant with very dense growth in the shape of a rising oval, which will offer a large number of flowers and fruits in a small area. It keeps its shape naturally, no need to cut. Only if you would like to cut the bush, you can do so in the spring before sprouting. The medium-green leaves turn golden and bright red in autumn, which is helped by strongly acidic soil.
- The flycatcher needs acidic soil without limestone content, it prefers even moisture, but it cannot stand in water or mud. It grows well in clay. In its homeland, it is used to a lot of sun, which not only ripens the fruits well, but also preserves the nice shape of the bush. Saskatoon flycatcher copes with extreme frost down to -60°C and can be grown even in an outdoor container.
